Wow. What a transformation. My house (that I have lived in for 27 years) was in drastic need of a re-organization after raising 4 children and doing 4 renovations. It was so easy to put off because I had the excuse of kids still coming home and didn't want to change too much of "their" spaces. Well, after number four had officially moved out for good, I had no other excuses. It was time for me to tackle the hard spaces. Mess causes stress. And my house was a mess. To take any amount of stress away from jobs that were already stressful, sounded amazing. Kathleen drove from St. Louis to my home (8 hours away) and took the hidden messes and the not so hidden messes and made space. She did this with my help......but only in the sense that I was forced to make decisions that I would never have been able to make without her calm demeanor, gentle push and thoughtful guidance. I am now left with what feels like a space I can sustainably keep organized. Check back in 27 years.......

Kathleen was nothing short of amazing when helping me organize my 7-year-old’s bedroom. I had let the room go after several attempts to keep it tidy. I hadn’t gone through clothes or toys in ages. By the time I realized how badly the room was torn apart and disorganized, it became way too overwhelming. Kathleen came over for a consultation. Not only did she talk to me, but she talked to my 7-year-old. My daughter felt seen and heard. Kathleen promised that she would include my daughter every step of the way. And she kept her promise!

We organized everything, and I mean everything…top and down, side to side. At the end of it all, we ended up donating 5 big bags of clothing, toys, and other goods. Kathleen bagged it up and delivered them for us—one extra step she takes to ensure that we can wipe our hands clean of the extra stress. Toward the end she helped me clean and fold items. She even taught me a trick or two! Kathleen was attentive and understanding during the entire process. She never judged or questioned any of my decisions or the state of the room. All in all, Kathleen was superb—kind-hearted, efficient, understanding, and compassionate. She is stellar at what she does…and it truly shows. I can’t thank you enough!

I have used Acorn & Oak for two very different jobs and am so pleased with the results! I moved my elderly aunt into an assisted living facility recently. Kathleen helped me get her house ready for an estate sale as well as staged it before it was put on the market. She helped coordinate cleaning professionals, exterminators, and trash removal. Her eye for detail was invaluable in helping declutter and get the house ready to show. The house sold the second day it was listed for over the asking price!

I was so impressed with Kathleen’s work ethic that I enlisted her help in organizing my walk-in closet and wrapping room. She helped me make decisions on what items needed to be kept, and which ones could go to charity or get tossed. Both projects turned out well. I will definitely hire Kathleen again.

Many, many thanks for your assistance in making the closing of my law office easier than anticipated. As you know, I have been practicing law for over 50 years and collecting paper (files), office equipment and furniture as well as personal effects over that period of time.

With your guidance, the move not only was swift but also was most orderly. A new system was set up for those files that did have to be retained. I could not help but think I should have utilized your skills long before the office was closed.
